Sightless Seekers
A downloadable game
Navigate the unknown, trust your partner, and let haptic feedback guide you to victory!
About the Game
Sightless Seekers is a collaborative game that enhances teamwork, spatial problem-solving, and communication through the use of haptic feedback. Set in a maze environment, players assume asymmetrical roles: one blindfolded navigator who relies on vibrational cues and a guiding partner who provides directions through a controller. This unique setup fosters trust and coordination as players work together to locate and retrieve objects while navigating obstacles.
Setup&Rules
- The game consists of a maze of obstacles (tables), where 2 teams with 2 players each must locate hidden objects (placed on chairs).
- Objects are divided into 2 categories, keys, placed in the room where each team starts and meant to be given to a doorman blocking the passage to the opposite room from where each team starts, and treasure, placed in the opposite room from where each team starts and to be returned to the corresponding team base. There are a total of 2 keys and 1 treasure for each team.
- Each team has 2 players, one blindfolded, which explores the maze from the inside and one giving the directions from outside the maze by looking at the maze through windows. The player giving directions also has a top-view layout of the map which contains the location for the objects inside.
- If a blindfolded player, while inside their base room, successfully touches an opposing blindfolded player, the opposing player is unable to receive directions from outside for 30 seconds.
- The team that first brings the treasure back to its base wins the game.
